WELCOME TO THE ABBEY DIAGNOSTICS
GOAT AND SHEEP SECTION
Many people are surprised to find that we provide a service for goats and sheep as well as horses, but these animals suffer from the same sorts of problems which we see in the equine community, namely internal parasitism which, as with horses, can cause severe problems if left untreated. As with the equine world, there is also a major problem with resistance to families of worming chemicals, leading owners and experts in the subject to have to re-think their husbandry methods in an effort to prevent the maximisation of resistance. Resistance of some parasites to all chemical families is no longer a vague threat in the future, it has been shown to occur..... Using worm-egg counts as part of a worm-control strategy is now recommended by several leading authorities on the subject.... more on that later.
